The Do’s and Don’t of PPKM

The Do’s and Don’t of PPKM

We begin the year with the immediate need to be more vigilant, as we are astounded by the steep rise in figures regarding Coronavirus. That said, life still goes on. And when life throws us lemons, we need to ensure sanitizing, distancing, and protecting before we go on to enjoy concocting.

We do not mean to be preachy. We apologize if this is so. Because you are constantly in our thoughts and hearts, we really want you to be safe from harm's way. So here are our practices, which we encourage you to follow. To our people who are already practicing these below, you are rockstars - absolutely fabulous and awesome!. So, for those who will carry out these practices, we salute you. We love you all!

DO brush up on your cooking skills

The sky's the limit when it comes to cooking. Look up how to recreate your favorite dishes at home, or beginners can start slowly by ordering a meal kit from ISMAYA Gourmet Shop

DON’T invite people over to try said cooking

During this time it’s best to stay at home as much as possible. This means we should all refrain from having large groups of people at our houses to reduce the number of people we are in contact with.

DO video call your loved ones

An obvious, but the essential thing to do when staying at home. If you don’t live with your family, check up on them regularly & provide support.

DON’T travel to meet them

It can be very tempting to visit your parents and other family members if you don’t live at home, but we need to be mindful of the pros & cons of traveling at a time where cases are spiking. For the safety of high risk, older family members, stick to video calling.

DO work from home

Try to do the majority of your work at home if possible, and don’t go into the office unless it is absolutely vital (for example, unless you’re an essential worker.) Right now, everyone should limit contact with colleagues.

DON’T look for a nightcap after work

After a long workday, it makes sense to want to blow off some steam by going to a bar for a drink. The thing is, all establishments will be closing by 7 pm, so a late night at a bar is a no-go. Instead, make your favorite drink at home!

DO order food online

You can really order any type of cuisine online at this point; anything you can imagine can be at your house by the push of a button. Luckily, right now you can get 20% off your order when you order from any of our outlets on shop.ismaya.com.

DON’T meet large groups of people at a restaurant or cafe

Not only does this increase the number of people you have contact with, but you are actually unable to do this. All restaurants and cafes will only be able to house 25% of their normal capacity, which means it is recommended that you meet in a group of three, maximum.

And lastly: DON’T forget to wash your hands & wear a mask!

For some, leaving the house is inevitable when it comes to going to essential establishments & for those working at the office. Whenever you leave the house, do not forget to wear a mask and sanitize your hands to fight the virus!
