Job Description

Ismaya Live is the live event division of Indonesia's leading lifestyle company Ismaya Group. Established in 2011, the passionate team of Ismaya Live aim to bring an all-rounded event experience with world-class productions and unique concepts.


The Media Relations Officer, working in close conjunction with the Marketing (Brand) team, who will ensure the quality and accountability of the media outputs and will support the overall Marketing team of Ismaya Live. Media Relations Officer will manage media partnership, draft communication materials, practical communication approaches, activities, outputs, and impact and also look for other promotion approaches that can promote and support Ismaya Live’s events and activations.


The Officer is also responsible to generating media coverage in international, regional and national media to build the organization’s profile in the region; develop a network in national, regional, and international media contacts; strengthen distribution of media to ensure coverage of advocacy and campaign efforts; draft, edit, and proofread press releases and other materials media in collaboration with the Supervisor; contribute to the development of media materials for program-related activities across the region (including fact-finding missions, press conferences and other events); support monitoring and evaluation officer (including monitoring media coverage and media reporting); support Marketing team to build relationships and networks with communities by promoting community participation in local activities (including improving community awareness); manage and develop online publications in website, blog, and social media under the guidance of Program Managers (including publishing program outputs and program activities); strengthen program publication on social media networks (including improving existing channels and developing new platforms); develop creative and engaging content – including infographics, videos and other materials.

Job Requirements
  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in the field of journalism, communications or in other related fields;
  • 1 to 2 years experience (Journalism, Communication or Public Relation related) or Fresh Graduate are welcome;
  • Extensive knowledge of national media across traditional and digital platforms, with an established network of media contacts. Having knowledge of media with international scope would be an added value;
  • Excellent writing skills with a good track record of producing different types of high-quality media outputs, including press releases and op-eds;
  • Experience in developing and implementing successful media strategies and campaigns;
  • Above-average interpersonal skills (constructive attitude, positive thinking, practical problem solving, and ability to adapt with team members and stakeholders) and communications skills (both verbal and written);
  • Good interpersonal, communication skill and attention to detail;
  • Familiar with the digital campaign;
  • Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment;
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both oral and written;
  • Able to work as a team member, but also has the ability to work independently and to deliver quality work on time;
  • Ability to learn quickly, follow directions, report analysis, and identify problems;
  • (Desirable) Knowledge of graphic design software and experience in developing content (including infographics and visual content for online platforms).
