INSPIRE ARTISTRY’S HIP-HOP ARTIST STAN RELEASES ‘BY YOUR SIDE’ FEATURING DAMARIS DIOR
A purveyor of urban and dance music, Inspire Artistry’s local hero Stan is ready to showcase his newest anthem for all you! In collaboration with soulful singer, Damaris Dior, anticipate a charming blend of R&B and melodic flow in Stan’s brand new single, “By Your Side” in September 2018.
Heavily shaped by African Dutch society in his early childhood, Stan’s love for hip-hop has prompted him to pursue his passion for music. Mixing since early 2000, Stan has discovered his own sound in the hip-hop scene along the way by incorporating urban contemporary music in his songs.
Joining Inspire Artistry in 2016, his addicting sound has right away made him a Paranoia’s DJ of the Year in 2016. A year after, Stan along with Perth-based hip-hop artist Marksman Lloyd and Kayo released an exciting upbeat track “Fate”. In between, Stan has rocked festivals and rave parties, such as Soulnation, Dreamfields, Djakarta Warehouse Project and many more.
Complementing the distinct mix of Stan, Dutch R&B singer Dior adds a sentimental touch in the up-and-coming summer track, “By Your Side”. On her previous releases, Dior has collaborated with the renowned R&B singer-songwriter Keith Martin in 2015. The promising artist then joined a Soul- Funk band, the Soul Brothers in 2016 and performed at the many prominent venues in Bali. The journey led her to a breakthrough when notorious jazz pianist Erik Sondhy asked her as one of his main female vocalists.
Together with Dior, the rising DJ Stan produced a dreamy yet thrilling song, “By Your Side”. The track talks about someone in your life that makes you a better person that is shown in sweet promises and grateful words as the main elements of the lyrics. The melody starts with constant mid- tempo beats, and slowly progresses from intro to hook with soft yet powerful voice of Dior. Truly a blend of Stan’s signature electronic sounds and soulful voice of Damaris Dior, enjoy the laid-back jam of the dynamic pair.
